Teaching is my passion. Seeing the "light go on" for my students is one the most rewarding events I've ever experienced. My teaching career has centered mostly on young children, but I have also taught teens and adults. While I enjoy teaching all curricular areas, my favorite part of teaching 1st and 2nd graders is facilitating their literacy. A Multi-Age setting supports literacy learning by providing opportunity for flexible grouping and student collaboration. The 2007-2008 will mark my thirteenth year teaching a Multi-Age class.
My other passion is my family. My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in August. We have two sons, Jeremy (age 26) and Michael (age 23).
